Blending Kettles provide controlled mixing and blending of liquid, semi-liquid, and viscous product streams in industrial manufacturing, specialty chemical, lubricant blending, paint and coatings, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical processing applications. As a specialist mixing vessel fabricator and installation contractor, we deliver complete blending kettle packages including pressure or atmospheric mixing vessels, agitator systems, heating and cooling jacket assemblies, and associated process piping for industrial and chemical processing facilities.
Our blending kettle packages encompass the design coordination, fabrication, and installation of cylindrical mixing vessels in carbon steel, stainless steel (304, 316L), and special alloy materials selected to match the chemical compatibility, temperature, and hygiene requirements of the specific blending application. Vessel configurations include open-top mixing tanks, closed pressure vessels, and vacuum-rated vessels as required by process conditions. Working capacities range from small-batch pilot vessels to large-volume production blending tanks as specified by the process engineer.
Agitator systems incorporated into blending kettle packages include top-entry, side-entry, and bottom-entry configurations with impeller types selected for the required mixing intensity, blend time, and fluid rheology. Agitator drive systems encompass electric motor and gearbox drives, variable speed drives, mechanical seal or stuffing box shaft sealing, and bearing housing arrangements appropriate for the vessel operating pressure and speed requirements.
Heating and cooling systems integrated into blending kettle packages include external jacket assemblies with steam or hot water heating, internal coil systems for heating or cooling, and dimple jacket configurations for close temperature control of reactive or temperature-sensitive blending operations. Jacket connections, vent and drain provisions, and temperature sensor pockets are fabricated and installed as part of the complete vessel assembly.
Process connections including product inlet nozzles, discharge nozzles, additive injection points, sampling connections, vent and pressure relief connections, and level measurement provisions are fabricated and oriented per vessel arrangement drawings. Structural support legs, padeyes, and lifting lugs are designed for safe installation, maintenance access, and transportation.
All blending kettle fabrication and installation comply with applicable ASME Section VIII pressure vessel codes for closed vessels, ISO 9001 quality management, and project-specific material, cleaning, and passivation requirements.
