| After the A/C compressor pressurizes the hot gaseous refrigerant, it is transported through the Receiver dryer and then onto the condenser. The function of the condenser is to receive the refrigerant in a gaseous state, then condense it down into a liquid state. It does this based on the radiator-like construction of loops, cooling fins, and location. Most condensers are mounted in locations where oncoming air helps to aid in the process. Many times, electric fans are mounted on the condenser as well, to further aid in the cooling process. |
