| Desanding Units and Desalters – Oil & Gas Separation and Conditioning Equipment Fabricator and Installation Contractor Desanding Units and Desalters are critical upstream production and refinery inlet treating equipment items for the removal of sand, formation solids, and produced water salts from crude oil and production fluid streams. As a specialist fabricator and installation support contractor, we deliver complete desanding and desalting equipment packages engineered and fabricated for the specific production characteristics, solids loading, and water salinity of each upstream field or refinery application. Desanding unit packages provide hydrocyclone-based or gravity-based solids removal from produced fluids, protecting downstream separators, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping from abrasive sand and formation fines that can cause accelerated erosion and fouling. Our desanding packages encompass hydrocyclone manifold assemblies, underflow collection vessels, dumpvalve systems, reject slurry handling piping, and interconnecting process piping fabricated to carbon steel or corrosion-resistant specifications based on produced fluid composition and temperature. Desalter packages provide electrostatic dehydration and desalting of crude oil streams to achieve specified basic sediment and water (BS&W) and chloride content for downstream processing. Desalter vessels incorporate internal electrostatic grid assemblies, high voltage transformer-rectifier connections, water wash injection systems, brine outlet connections, and crude oil inlet distributors. Vessel shells are fabricated in carbon steel with internal coating or corrosion allowance provisions appropriate for the salinity and temperature of the crude oil service. Supporting process piping, wash water injection systems, chemical injection quills, interface level measurement provisions, and pressure safety valve connections are fabricated and installed as part of the complete desalter package scope. Electrical connections to transformer-rectifier units and safety isolation provisions are coordinated with the electrical installation scope. Applications include wellhead and CPF desanding ahead of three-phase separators, crude oil export pump protection desanding, refinery crude unit inlet desalting for salt reduction prior to atmospheric distillation, and combined desanding/desalting for high BS&W crude production streams. All fabrication and installation activities comply with applicable ASME Section VIII pressure vessel codes, API standards for oil field processing equipment, ISO 9001 quality management, and project-specific QA/QC procedures. Our customized desanding and desalting solutions are engineered for high-performance solids and water removal from demanding upstream crude oil and production fluid streams across GCC oil and gas operations. |
