Features: Maintain moist healing environment, promote healing: when alginate dressing contacts with the wound, calcium alginate and CMC absorb the exudates and expand to form soft, adhesive and hydrophilic gel. The gel closely contacting with the wound is able to fill in and support the deep wound, effectively deal with exudates from lacuna, provide moist healing environment for the wound and promote the growth of granulation tissue.
Super absorptive capacity: compared with other alginate and hydrophilic fiber dressings, our alginate dressing has excellent absorptive capacity. The experimental data indicates that alginate dressing can quickly absorb a large amount of exudates, is able to effectively absorb the exudates 18 times of its own weight and lock the exudates 9 times of its own weight, thus prolong the using time of the dressing, prevent surrounding infusion and reduce the risk of wound infection.
Participating in the process of coagulation and reduce the pain of changing dressing: alginate dressing contains calcium ion interchanging with sodium ion in the exudates, which participates in the process of coagulation to stop bleeding on one hand, and on the other hand, forms sodium alginate gel to wholly adhere to the wound with no pain to change the dressing and dressing residual.
Indication:Applies to all kinds of moderate and severe exudative wounds such as granulation phase (yellow and red periods) of various acute and chronic wounds, especially for the wounds with a small amount of bleeding or necessity to fill in the lacuna, including ulcer of lower extremities, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot, burns of II degree, etc.
