Product Overview
Our carbon steel bushings (also called pipe reducers or threaded bushings) are compact pipe fittings designed to connect pipes with different internal/external thread sizes, enabling smooth size transition while saving installation space. Crafted from high-quality carbon steel via precision machining and threading processes, these bushings feature excellent thread accuracy, strong mechanical strength, and reliable corrosion resistance. They are valued for easy on-site installation (no welding required), tight sealing performance, and cost-effectiveness, making them an essential component for low-to-medium pressure piping systems in industrial, commercial, and municipal projects globally.
Product Specifications1. Material Grades
We offer a range of carbon steel grades to match diverse application requirements:
• A105: The most widely used grade for carbon steel bushings, featuring good ductility and thread machinability, suitable for general low-to-medium pressure (up to Class 300) and ambient-temperature systems (e.g., water supply, gas lines).
• A350 LF2: Low-temperature resistant grade (minimum operating temperature -46°C), ideal for cold-environment piping like refrigeration systems or outdoor pipelines in frigid regions.
• 1045 Carbon Steel: High-strength grade with enhanced hardness (HRC 20-25), designed for high-pressure (up to Class 600) industrial systems requiring durable thread connections.
• Custom Grades: Available upon request, compliant with international standards (ASTM, ASME, DIN, GB) or customer-specific drawings to meet special needs (e.g., corrosion-prone or high-vibration environments).
2. Structural & Dimensional Parameters
• Thread Type: Compatible with global thread standards, including:
◦ NPT (National Pipe Taper): Tapered threads for self-sealing, widely used in North American markets (water, gas, oil lines).
◦ BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper): Tapered threads for medium-pressure systems, common in European and Asian markets.
◦ BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel): Parallel threads (requires gaskets for sealing), suitable for low-pressure fluid transmission.
