| Oil & Gas Separators and Knockout Drums – Process Pressure Vessel Fabricator and Supplier for Upstream Oil & Gas Applications Oil & Gas Separators and Knockout Drums are critical process equipment items for phase separation, liquid removal, and slug handling in upstream oil and gas production, gas processing, and midstream gathering operations. As a specialist process pressure vessel fabricator and installation support contractor, we deliver two-phase and three-phase separator vessels, horizontal and vertical knockout drums, scrubber vessels, and associated pressure vessel assemblies engineered and fabricated to ASME and API design codes. Our separator and knockout drum packages encompass all vessel types encountered in oil and gas processing streams. Two-phase separators separate gas and liquid phases from wellhead production streams, with inlet diverter devices, mist extractor internals, liquid level control nozzles, and gas and liquid outlet connections. Three-phase separators further separate the liquid phase into oil and free water fractions, incorporating weir plate arrangements, oil and water boot designs, and interface level measurement provisions. Vertical knockout drums and scrubber vessels are fabricated for gas phase liquid dropout service ahead of compressors, dehydration units, and gas export systems. Internal configurations include wire mesh mist eliminators, vane-type separators, and cyclonic internals specified by the process engineer to achieve required liquid carryover performance. All vessel internals are fabricated and installed as part of the complete vessel package. Vessels are fabricated from carbon steel, with low-temperature carbon steel, stainless steel, or corrosion-resistant alloy cladding options selected based on service fluid composition, H₂S content, CO₂ partial pressure, and design temperature. Nozzle connections, manways, davit arms, vortex breakers, and instrument connections are fabricated and installed per the vessel data sheet and piping class requirements. All fabricated vessels undergo full weld inspection including radiographic testing (RT) and/or ultrasonic testing (UT) of pressure-containing welds, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) where required by code, and hydrostatic pressure testing at 1.5 times design pressure. Material traceability, mechanical testing, and heat treatment records are maintained in full documentation packages. Applications include wellhead separators, test separators, production separators, gas scrubbers, slug catchers, flare knockout drums, compressor suction scrubbers, and inlet separators at processing facilities and CPF installations in onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. All fabrication and inspection comply with ASME Section VIII Division 1 (Pressure Vessels), applicable API standards, ISO 9001 quality management, and project-specific QA/QC and inspection requirements. Our customized separator and knockout drum solutions are engineered for high-performance phase separation and reliable operation across demanding upstream oil and gas processing environments in the GCC and regional markets. |
