Pig Launchers, Receivers, and Slug Catchers are essential pipeline integrity and liquid management equipment items for hydrocarbon gas and liquid transmission pipelines, gathering systems, and subsea export lines. Our pig launcher and receiver packages encompass the complete barrel, closure door, reducer section, kicker and bypass piping, isolation valve connections, drain and vent connections, pressure gauge and transmitter connections, and pig signal detector provisions. Launcher and receiver barrels are fabricated in carbon steel to specified design pressure ratings, with barrel diameters sized to accommodate the range of cleaning, gauging, intelligent inspection, and caliper pig tools specified for the pipeline service. Closure door assemblies, including davit-supported swing door or quick-opening closure (QOC) door configurations, are fabricated and tested to specified pressure rating and operability requirements.

Slug catcher packages provide liquid accumulation and surge management functions at pipeline receiving terminals, absorbing liquid slugs arriving from multiphase gas and condensate pipelines before controlled liquid disposal to downstream processing. Finger-type slug catchers consist of multiple large-diameter horizontal vessels connected in parallel, providing high liquid holding capacity for pipeline slug receipt. Vessel-type slug catchers are fabricated as single large-diameter horizontal pressure vessels with internal baffles and liquid level control provisions.

All pig trap and slug catcher vessels are fabricated with full weld inspection including RT or UT of pressure seam welds, PWHT where required, and hydrostatic pressure testing at code-required test pressures. Dimensional inspection, nozzle orientation verification, closure door operational testing, and pig detector function testing are completed as part of the factory acceptance programme.
