AKA-SIZER type TAK produce products which are classified sharply, like silica sands for glass manufacture, core sands and molding sands for foundries and special sands which are required for the most diverse applications. The various TAK types ensure cut sizes in the range from 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm, depending on various feed quantities of the raw material.
Principle of operation
An optimum distribution of the upstream water via nozzle plate results in a homogeneous classifying bed, which enables a precise separation. By varying the water feed and exchangeable nozzles, different sharp separation cut sizes are possible. A discharge regulation system which is controlled by the level of the classifying bed ensures a uniform cut size even in the case of fluctuations of the feed quantities, and of the grain size distribution.
