| Storage Tanks API 650 – Above-Ground Atmospheric Storage Tank Fabricator and Erector for Oil & Gas and Industrial Applications API 650 Storage Tanks represent a core offering for the bulk liquid storage requirements of refineries, petrochemical plants, oil and gas terminals, water treatment facilities, and general industrial complexes. As an experienced tank fabricator and erector, we deliver complete API 650 storage tank packages from material procurement and shop fabrication through field erection, inspection, and hydrostatic testing. Our API 650 tank packages cover the full range of atmospheric storage tank configurations including cone roof tanks, floating roof tanks (internal and external), fixed roof tanks, and dome roof tanks. Tank components including shell plates, annular bottom plates, sketch plates, roof plates, structural rafters, columns, and all nozzle connections are fabricated to API 650 design requirements. Shell plate thicknesses, material grades, and weld joint efficiencies are determined by the design engineer in accordance with API 650 calculation methodology considering shell course heights, fluid density, corrosion allowance, and design pressure. Nozzle connections for inlet, outlet, drain, overflow, gauge hatch, sample, venting, and instrumentation are fabricated and installed to specified orientations and elevations. Roof drain systems, pontoon assemblies for floating roof tanks, and internal structural elements are fabricated and installed as integral components of the complete tank assembly. Field erection encompasses foundation survey and acceptance, bottom plate laying and welding, shell course jacking and welding, roof structure assembly, and final nozzle fit-up and welding. Weld inspection including visual, dimensional, radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and vacuum box testing are conducted at each stage of erection in accordance with API 650 inspection requirements. Hydrostatic testing is conducted by filling the completed tank with water to the design liquid level and monitoring for settlement, deformation, and leakage over the specified test duration. Shell geometric survey and bottom settlement monitoring are conducted during and after hydrostatic testing to verify structural performance. Applications include crude oil storage, refined product storage, chemical and solvent storage, water storage, slop and sludge tanks, and firewater storage in refinery, terminal, petrochemical, and industrial facility applications. All fabrication, erection, inspection, and testing comply with API 650 (Welded Tanks for Oil Storage), applicable NDT standards, and ISO 9001 quality management requirements. ISO 45001 HSE requirements govern all site erection activities.
