The venturi scrubber to belong to medium energy systems.
They consist of two basic elements: - the venturi, in which is produced the phase of contact between the liquid and the air to remove dust; - The cyclone separator where the separation is performed between the air and the droplets which have captured the powders.
Principle of operation: the dusty air, drawn in by a fan, passes through the orifice in the venturi where it undergoes a remarkable increase of speed while the water, recirculated by a pump, is fed at the throat.
