YUKIRO is our finest blend, and some of the highest quality Matcha available in Japan. Produced using only the youngest and most tender hand-picked leaves of 30+ years old tea trees, passed down from prior generations, which have been shade grown for at least 30 days prior to the first harvest of the season, usually around April/May.
The sweet floral notes and rich Umami taste of this rare and finely ground artisanal Matcha are the result of a true combined effort between Nature and Craftsmanship, symbolising the Japanese pursuit of perfectionism.
Made from 100% stone ground green tea leaves grown exclusively in the Uji region, known to be the oldest area for production of some of the best Matcha green tea in Japan.
YUKIRO can be used to make Usu-Cha (thin Matcha) but it is also ideal for Koi-Cha (thick Matcha).
We recommend to prepare this Matcha using our Handcrafted Bamboo Whisk for better aeration of the tea resulting in a creamy texture.
