PVA is a water-soluble and environmentally friendly polymer with good film forming properties, emulsifying properties and bonding properties. Its film formation has excellent adhesion, solvent resistance, friction resistance, tensile strength and oxygen resistance. Polyvinyl alcohol can also be used as a protective colloid for polymer emulsification and suspension polymerization.

Performance and Application Areas

1.Water solubility: PVA molecules contain a large number of hydroxyl groups and are easily soluble in water. The solubility increases with the increase of water temperature. The aqueous solution has good membrane formation and adhesion.

2.Thermal stability: This series of products softens when heated, there is no significant change below 40 °C, gradually coloring above 160 °C, decomposition above 220 °C to produce water, acetic acid, acetaldehyde and butenal aldehyde. Long-term storage under natural drying conditions is not moldy, non-metamorphism, and non-hygroscopic.

3.Chemical resistance: This series of products are almost unaffected by weak acids, weak bases or organic solvents, and have high oil resistance.
