PEDESENT a synthetic, resorbable surgical suture is a monofilament. It is manufactured of polydioxanone suture of the formula (-O-CH 2 - CH 2 OCH 2 CO-) n d. Polydioxanone is not antigen and pyrogen, and only a slight tissue reaction occurs during absorption.
A PEDESENT sutures during polymerization to provide opinion on the tissue was stained purple. There are also unpainted (natural, beige) types.
PEDESENT the European Pharmacopoeia (EPA) and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is suitable for resorbable surgical thread and requirements.
