PVDF(polyvinylidene fluoride) is a thermoplastic that has exceptional chemical resistance. It is a versatile fluoropolymer and its tensile properties and impact strength reflect its strong toughness. PVDF also has excellent resistances to creep and fatigue,which is very important for load bearing. PVDF fluoropolymers are rigid and resistant to creep under mechanical stress and load. Because PVDF is stable to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet radiation, it is widely used as basic resins for long-lasting exterior coatings. Comparing with other fluoroplastics, PVDF can be welded into tanks for acid and corrosive chemical processing in elevated temperature environments.
